Adeline B. Knotts of Smyrna, Delaware passed away Sunday March 7, 2010 in Bayhealth/Kent General Hospital.

She was 83.

Mrs. Knotts was born July 13, 1926 in Fairlee, Maryland the daughter of the late Pierson and Emma Joyner Bigelow.

She was a homemaker who enjoyed flowers, eating crabs, spending time with children and reading.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James C. Knotts, Sr. in 2002 and a grandson, James Cody Knotts in 1999.

She is survived by her son, J. Crawford Knotts, Jr. and his wife, Cheryl of Smyrna; two grandchildren, Jodie Wood and her husband, Brian and John C. Knotts and two great grandchildren, Matthew and Jace.

Services will be Wednesday March 10, 2010 at 1pm in the Faries Funeral Chapel, 29 South Main Street Smyrna, Delaware where friends may call two hours prior to the services.

Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery Smyrna, Delaware.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to Delaware Hospice, 911 South DuPont Highway Dover, DE 19901 or to the Ladies Aid of Downs Chapel Church.
